At the turn of the Twentieth Century the healing benefits of water were well recognized, and water therapies were commonly prescribed by medical practitioners.  Although the therapeutic benefits of hydrotherapy were largely forgotten or overlooked by the American public over the next seventy five years, the medical establishments in both Europe and Asia continued to recognize the important regenerative and restorative contribution that water provides.  Over the last twenty five years the United States has witnessed a resurgence of interest in water therapies, as more and more Americans are re-discovering the healing properties of water.  Concurrently, an increasing number of people are tuning into the importance of drinking, showering, and immersing oneself in generous amounts of pure, non-contaminated water.

The WellSprings Spa is equipped with an Olympic sized swimming pool, warm water soaking pool, private Jacuzzi tubs, showers, sauna, and steam room. Guests enjoy the large wooden deck for relaxing and sunning.

For those desiring a deeper and more complete healing journey, a host of hydrotherapeutic modalities are offered to spa guests, including Massage, Watsu, Water Dance, and Facial Treatments. Treatment rooms are provided where talented, licensed therapists offer a compendium of manipulative techniques including Shiatsu, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, and Myofashial Release.  Maternity Massage and Acupressure are also available.  WellSprings recognizes that warm water soaking, sauna and steam facilitate both physical and mental relaxation, thereby allowing therapists to perform even deeper and more profound work.  As such, patients are encouraged to enjoy the spa before and after treatments, included at no expense with each massage and facial treatment.

The warm water soaking pool becomes the “treatment room” for those receiving Watsu and Water Dance therapies.  The calming, soothing qualities of WellSprings’ warm, mineral water facilitate a state of profound mental and physical relaxation, stillness, and mind-body alignment. Watsu utilizes gentle traction and stretches, afforded by passive movement through a more dense water medium, whereas Water Dance is an invigorating experience that enhances the supply of oxygen and nutrients to muscles and the brain through active movement and breath work in mineral rich water.

Each facial includes a rejuvenating massage to the hands, face, scalp, neck and shoulders. Our Signature Facials provide customized treatments that include deep cleansing, exfoliation extractions, and restoring hydration. WellSprings' Ultimate Facials extend the Signature Facial to include an additional face mask and pays special attention to arms, legs and feet.  The volume of return business is encouraging and reinforces our belief that ilike - in combination with gifted estheticians, and the warm mineral water soaking experience – is a well received prescription for profound relaxation.

Massage Therapy

Our compassionate therapists provide a variety of experience to suite your individual needs. Treatments range from gentle Swedish massage to deep tissue massage. Also available is maternity massage and acupressure.

If the water is too, enjoy a warm water message which is a profoundly relaxing experience. Watsu is a flow of gentle movements and stretches intended to loosen and relax the body. Treatments last for one hour and are performed in the warm water soaking pool.
