11/18 & 11/19
2 Day Yoga Workshop for Low Back & Shoulders with Reanna Feinberg
September 30, 2017
2-Day Yoga Workshop at the Jackson Wellsprings on Saturday, November 18th and Sunday, November 19th; 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM each day. Both will provide an in-depth exploration into two of the most common areas of discomfort: the low back and shoulders; and provide tools, knowledge and strengthening practices to alleviate and prevent that pain!
Saturday: Low Back Health Creating a healthy, strong and free low back is a multifaceted process of understanding the innate structures of balanced action, built right into the bones and design of the body, and learning how to create space, release tension and build deep supportive strength within that design. In this workshop we'll work to free the sacrum, release the psoas and build the true core that supports the internal framework of body and mind. We'll look at some common tendencies that contribute to low back pain as well as alignment tools, anatomy, somatic techniques, and skillful action in asana practice designed to alleviate it. It's open to all levels of students.
Sunday: Shoulders Shoulders are one of the most common regions of discomfort (more and more so in our culture of hand-held devices and computers). They are also one of the most mobile and free regions of the body...this workshop's aim is to develop the knowledge and tools to enjoy them as such. We will work with shoulder blade movement and strength; arm bone rotation and placement; and learning to lift and support the shoulders sustainably. This workshop will also include anatomy, somatic techniques, alignment tools and skillful action in asana practice. It's open to all levels of students.
A discounted rate of $35 per workshop, or $60 for both, is available if pre-registered before the 16th of November. Otherwise the rate is $40 per workshop.
In the midst of transformative beauty during this season of Fall, and right before the holiday season, these workshops are designed to provide tools for your own transformative power to live in a natural state of contentment and ease!
